Self-Sapien is the latest collection from Michael Ludwig Studios, a contemporary brand inspired by Eastern aesthetics and African fashion sensibilities. It seeks to embrace those aesthetics respectfully while embracing our existence as humans away from the binary stereotypes & gender roles. During the brand’s journey, we have experienced that the African consumer in particular responds to fashion in way that celebrates colour, bright prints, the importance of self and unique expression.
This collection celebrates that individuality and the luminescence that comes with summer. Bright colours with an abstract print, all in natural fabrics and printing techniques, endeavor to inspire self-expression at the same time as sustainability with elements of sizing adjustment that further cements the expression of self.
