For this collection we wanted to focus on how shapes and identity play into one another.
By combining the art and fashion design principles (such as proportion, color & silhouette) with what is considered masculine and feminine in those elements we created a collection in a contemporary style shown through a diverse and non-binary manner.
To incorporate this concept into our fabrics/materials we experimented with using a more stable and crisp fabric such as cotton sateen alongside a softer and more fluid fabric such as a modal knit or Tencel twill.
All prints were created in our studio and printed locally in South Africa.
Our approach to some of the designs incorporated free sizing as well as zero fabric waste.
